I am on an England kick lately. Oh, and a garden kick. Maybe I am just out of the loop, but have you noticed a lack of garden-focused , inspirational blogs? Luckily, I just came across this lovely Tumblr, Gardening in Heels.
I am a predictable, boring, cliché. You can show me a million different versions of the English girl in a cottage garden photo shoot and I will never tire of it. My dreams are made of this stuff.

this post is most fortuitous for me as I am renovating a corner of my backyard and desperately needed inspiration. thankyou!
I love it too. I just wish gardening wasn’t so much work!
Like a breath of fresh air.
As a sidenote – did you see that David Austin is selling cut roses online? They are dreamy.
Oh, and I just saw this – you might like it:

That site is a treasure trove of beautiful things.
It’s so true! I’ve been able to find helpful how-to garden blogs, but not garden-focused inspiration blogs. Most of what I’ve found so far has been from magazines or tumblr. And have you noticed how most are focused on the Northeast? So strange that there aren’t more for the different climates and garden styles.
if i was wearing what she had on, i would totally garden too.
It’s a cliche that will never go out of style! (Or taste…)

What a great picture…i wish my whole garden looked like that!
When I worked at mags we never put our garden stories online because they got crap traffic. Such a shame b/c it’s really hard to find good stuff.
I’ve started talking about gardening more on my blog, see here. That sounds like a shameless self promotion but really it’s not, http://www.katyelliott.com/blog/labels/garden.
nice find! I’m bookmarking it.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Oh, I wish I had a garden. This is divine!
Have you seen the new J.Crew catalog?!?! Totally garden inspired and totally beautiful!
I agree that there doesn’t seem to be enough readily available garden inspiration. At least not of the variety I’m looking for – I’m not really after how-to’s or gardening advice, but more inspiring imagery of outdoor space that will motivate me to get outside and get my hands dirty.
Join the anglophile club; I could look at this sort of thing for days! I find the Brits’ haphazard, but organically beautiful gardens endlessly fascinating.
100% completely concur. England captured my heart a long time ago and when you add their lovely gardens and cottages, I get heart palpitations!
great picture, but the girl doesn’t look like garden lover :))
Greetings from garden in Poland, Ewa
how lovely! i wish i had a garden. or a terrace. or a window box. heck, i’d settle for a pot plant right now. in a bid to be a better english girl, i shall rectify the lack of plants in my life this very weekend, i think! 🙂
that’s it! i’m gardening tomorrow 🙂 xo
Thank you for sharing your find!
cant wait to get my hands dirty and plant some flowers!
