Right now the flower markets are stocked with yellow lupine. This is an unusual color of lupine where I come from, but in Portugal it´s native. I loved having some at home in this modern ceramic vase I picked up at Noto in Lisbon, and designed by Martim Santa Rita.
The seeds of some varieties of lupine are used as beans here and in many Mediterranean climates. But for now, I just enjoy the florals at home.

What a beautiful flower! I never knew what it was called!!
Wow! I have never seen a yellow lupine before! I fell in love with them a couple years ago when I saw them growing wild everywhere up in Northern Minnesota. I planted some last year and they’re starting to sprout!
I love the blue lupins in Sweden. I couldn’t get enough and once in a while a pink one appears. A yellow lupin? Wow, what a rarity.
