holiday tables: a tartan dinner

You know I love tartan, so I couldn't resist pulling together a tartan table! For the centerpiece, I simply piled lady apples onto a large cake stand. Each favor is a bouquet garni using my favorite Christmas herbs: bay and rosemary.

Tartan fabrics- Mill End, vintage tea towels, china plates, utensils- Stockholm Stadsmission, cake stand- Crate & Barrel, glasses-vintage. lanterns- Lagerhaus.

  1. Aww… so cute! The tartan reminds me of my Granny in Scotland, lol. Although, I think our clan has a green & blue tartan… lovely table!

  2. Beautiful! I think I have some of that plaid fabric from Mill End, actually. I loooooove tartan especially this Christmas season and have done several DIY projects with old Pendleton pleated skirts on my blog, check it out!

  3. This warmed my heart! I can just imagine having a wonderful dinner with my family, drinking spiked mulled cider, telling stories, and laughing all night long in the candlelight!
