This girl looks so content amongst all her clutter. I wouldn't intentionally bring that lamp or all those ruffles or that chintz chair into my house, but I like it. All that haphazard clutter looks so comfy! I especially love the geraniums. I know they are often frowned upon as a peasant sort of flower, but i love them.

geraniums always make me think of my grandmother. She had them on her back porch and would let me crush the petals to make pretend lipstick. I loved the color so much as a little girl.
I love the wild look of the geraniums in this image! For some reason, geraniums remind me of when I lived in Paris and I don’t remember why……
what a sweet comment by whitney. very cool to crush them for the colour!!! they are pretty!
thanks for your comments, girls! i used to crush the geraniums too…:) they are a lovely flower…callie- i associate geraniums with paris too. it seems everyone has them in their window boxes there. it’s really lovely.
Geraniums are one of my favorite flowers…they remind me of my Mom – in the summer they’re in front of the house & on the patio and in the winter they live in the sunroom. Apparently my Grandmother had the same affinity for geraniums so it must run in the family! I also like the smell of the leaves – not a particularly floral or pretty scent but I think it’s a comfortable & familiar scent.
I love the geranium’s fragrance too!
I know what you mean, I like her pjs to, very sweet. I had a boyfriend in high school who’s house was shabby chic, cluttered and very much like this, is felt cozy, even though I could never actually live there.
I love geraniums!
I love geraniums too. No plant looks happier in a pot or a window box! The store across the street from our used to have a huge flower section during the summer and I loooved the wall of geraniums in all different colors–it was beautiful
There are some lovely geraniums. Scented ones that just smell wonderful–peppermint and lemon and tons of other very fragrant and rare ones too. Plus they’re so easy to snip off stems come fall and over winter and spring start some more yourself!

i had an english professor in undergrad who had geraniums in her office. i was totally struck by them and every once in a while i think about how beautiful they were and want to start pots of my own. i think they are absolutely charming.
Erin- Don’t you love professors’ offices? I used to swoon just going into their spaces and seeing the stacks and stacks of books and all the haphazard art around.
Tifany- I LOVE scented geraniums. I can stand over them for hours drinking in the fragrance and rubbing their leaves!
