winter tip: make a hothouse bouquet!

Hothouse bouquet

During dark or snowy days, it's nice to have plants and flowers inside. And, sometimes you just need color! I am all for buying local and seasonal, but sometimes I can't resist a dozen hot-house-grown carnations from the grocery store during the depths of winter. With their bright colors and heady fragrance, they are totally irresistible! For this bouquet, I mixed carnations with purple anemones, ranunculus, and garden roses. It smelled so good! I kept it by my bedside. It really was that dark in the background during the morning!
