A few months ago, my sister Liz asked if I would host a dinner party. As part of her birthday celebration, she wanted to cook a family style dinner for twelve friends. Saturday night she brought over a delicious menu, with the big hit being a Roasted Grape, Fennel and Carrot salad. Friends, Ansley and Jenny, contributed with chocolate cake and rhubarb infused drinks. See Lizzy's blog for more food details.
It was a lovely night with good friends and good food. Happy Birthday, Lizzy!
ooh, you had me at the roasted grapes & pink menu.
That’s such a pretty dinner table set-up! And I love the pink and red color scheme.
Hey, great blog! These photos look so nice together.
So lovely Chelsea. The menu sounds delish and everything looks so happy and warm. A perfect birthday for Lizzy!
Hey, I want a fun spring dinner party now! It looks wonderful!
Love the way you incorporated pink in a chic (not saccharine) way. Menu sounds delish, & that salad sounds divine!
Yum…i want to come to the next one!
Yum food! Looks amazing. Did you host in your new place?
Yes, my new place! It’s empty. No furniture yet, so it worked perfect! 🙂
This is a very charming party. Well done!

so pretty, as always!
what a sweet way to celebrate a new year! Happy day to your sister!
that drink looks so good!
everything looks so wonderful!
These shots are so beautiful! I especially liked #4 with the candles and red roses, as well as #5 with the shoes that are slightly out of focus. You are really quite a good designer and photographer.
who did those invites?
Oh , the menu? Ha! That’s me trying to make cute, playful lettering with my own chicken scratch handwriting:)
