monday nap

Does anyone else torture themselves by staying up late for a reading marathon, a silly tv show, a work project or an Internet addiction:) ? Lately, I've been getting sucked into a series of American TV shows that are on late at night here and then last night it was a work project that kept me up til 3 AM! I just got back from a lovely tea with my neighbor and I now I'd like to take a nap on this snuggly bench I spotted on the Pure Style Blog.

  1. that looks perfect! i try so hard to not stay up late–especially for tv shows (because they are really on my laptop and i spend way too much time staring at that screen), but lately i haven’t been able to help myself. . . so i’m right there with you on nap time today!

  2. I stay up too late all the time now that school has started and mornings are earlier than I’d like. I hate being tired but I’m not as disciplined as I’d like to be!

  3. I know just what you mean. I was up much too late last night putting the finishing touches on my latest blog entry (just got back from vacation, so there are a lot of photos!) while my boyfriend was sensibly sound asleep next to me. I really felt it when I woke up this morning. Oy vey.

  4. yes. i’m ALWAYS doing it. even when i promise myself an early night. i can’t help it, i’m a night owl and looking after a toddler all day leaves little room for much else. so the night time is the right time for everything else!

  5. what tv shows were you watching?
when i was studying in nz i noticed they had alot of american tv shows that they don’t really show here but was always on in nz.

  6. i am a complete night owl (just read the time posts for most of my own blog posts)! Night time is my time. I don’t get to nap during the week, but naps are a must on weekends (sometimes even a morning AND late afternoon nap — THE BEST!). Lovely photo.

  7. YES! And school is about to start and that dratted swine flu is already working its way through my University’s greek system. I really need to get my sleeping habits under control before all the madness REALLY begins – or I’ll wind up sick, I’m sure of it!

And yet … I keep staying up. Last night it was dinner and cards that lasted from about 5pm – 2am! 9 hours of cooking, playing, eating, drinking! It was wonderful, but BOY, am I ever tired today.
