My cheapity ticket to Greece required a 12 hour layover in Budapest. So my friend and I wandered around the city and were completely smitten! It feels a lot like Paris.

ohh, i’ve wanted to go for ages – why oh why don’t i get my act together. sigh.
lovely photo!
oh my goodness- jealous beyond belief!
I was in Budapest last year and I was thought that too, I guess the Danube is a little like the Seine, running through the middle. I didn’t know what to expect from Budapest so I was really surprised by it’s raw romance and beauty. I loved how a lot of the buildings were in various states of disrepair and there was quite a lot of graffiti.
oh i want to come along!
it is one my favorite places in the world- oh and that lace and other linens are fantastic!
That is a lovely photo. Sounds like you had a very nice time – good for you! I’m off to look at the rest of your Budapest pictures.
My brother lived there for two years and I’d never even considered a trip there until I started seeing his photos, I’ve been smitten ever since. Not your usual touristy destination.
Sounds like a fun lay over!
I always think of the book Prague whenever someone mentions Budapest. So glad you guys were able to venture out and explore!
