Every time I visit my mom's kitchen, she's has a dish of carrots being readied for something. She scrubs and trims them until they are little works of art. Luckily, I had my Polaroid in tow this weekend so I could try and capture their loveliness.

  1. In a world filled with bagged, prewashed mini carrots (which I also admit to buying and eating. a lot.), it’s refreshing to see carrots as they used to be in every kitchen… so homey and timeless.

  2. i’d love to rabbit-bite into one of those right now! i used to eat so many carrots my mom would tell me i’d turn orange. nope. only my self-tanner using friends turned orange, not carrot-eating-me.
