I generally don't buy things. Blogging helps me purge all of my materialistic tendencies. However this week, I've purchased quite a bit including this Eliza Gran bag and a Tamara Shopsin planner. I adore them. It's been a pretty frustrating week and it won't be over for a few more days. I'll be honest, sometimes a little retail therapy can make you feel happy! Hope you all have a great weekend!
I agree. Especially if it’s done the right way… like the difference between rewarding yourself to a nice meal and pigging out on comfort food. It’s not emotional spending then… it’s just recognizing that you deserve a wee treat! And you absolutely do!
Have a great weekend Chelsea & thanks for your lovely comment!
Jane
i love them both and agree with you and jane about some ‘healthy’ retail therapy! have a good weekend!
your blog is the best!!
oh and i have that planner and absolutely LOVE it. i use it as a personal journal and it’s so much fun to read what i was obsessing about a year ago ๐
it IS liberty! For better or for worse, I agree about retail therapy. I did some myself this week at Eileen Fisher.
i’ve been overdoing the retail therapy lately (not buying anything big, just small dumb stuff). i agree it does make you feel better in small amounts though, especially when you get something special (like that planner) ๐
I love that planner. I can not find my diary anywhere…but I’m not giving in and buying a new one yet! I think little treats are perfectly justifiable. In fact, I may give myself a $25 a month Etsy budget.
i hear you.
Oh, my, you’ve summed it up nicely about blogging purging the materialistic tendency. I hadn’t thought of it that way but you’re right on the button with that observation!
Happy week’s end,
Tina
lovely + practical = no regrets!
i love note books and planners to keep my ideas. the red ribbon makes it perfect.
I love the planner. I’ve been searching for the perfect notebook for a while and really love that one.
I totally agree! (I need to tell you that I LOVE these shots. That top one makes me giddy!!)
Hi Chelsea, whatยดs so frustating about your week ? Tell us… we may share solutions and insights, while contemplating little cute simple things like this planner…
I have that planner but use it as a little journal! Often I will say “Hey Bryan! Want to hear what we were doing a year ago today?!” It is awesome ๐
sorry to hear that your week has been difficult!
I have the 5 year journal and it is simply amazing. Money well spent.
