I went into The Farnsworth Museum to soak up artwork from the Wyeth clan (N.C., Andrew, Jaime), but I came out with a new favorite artist. His name is Bo Bartlett, a contemporary painter whose inspiration comes from two places close to my heart; Maine and Vashon Island, WA. He owns three dreamy studios to paint in. See here. Some of his paintings are the size of an entire wall.

Wow, these paintings are beautiful, haunting, so nice, thanks for sharing.
I love the Wyeths and what a good find of a new artist.
I went to the Farnsworth musuem randomly two weeks ago and was astounded by Bartlett’s work as well. I certainly wasn’t expecting what I got when I walked in.
