I am pretty much a sucker for any music that can be described as romantic with an edge. Anything organic + bluegrassy+ sweet+ wispy. I was excited to see two Portland female vocalists voted in the Best New Band group by Willamette Week. Alela Diane started out selling her cd’s wrapped in handmade doilies(that is so up my alley I can’t stand it) and Laura Gibson is so unpretentious you have to love her.
