long-stemmed pansies

Pansies long stemmed

Long-stemmed pansies are so sweet gathered in little bunches. I cut these from a flower garden in the summertime, but sometimes we get lucky at the market to have them shipped from California in the winter and early spring. They are a good substitute when I can't get my absolute favorite, cut violets (my obsession!).

Pansies

What's your favorite flower? Mine changes according to the seasons! Right now the violets, these pansies, and anemones are on my mind.

  1. Chelsea-

Nothing beats decorating with fresh flowers in the winter. No pansies here, though. At least not in the stores. But perhaps I can find some at a plant nursery. 🙂
