While I sometimes get a little nasaueted by the consumerism of the holiday season, I get really excited when I see people supporting handmade products. I've watched one of my dear friends get bombarded with orders for her handmade products this season and it's been thrilling to watch. The last few years there have been some darling markets and pop-up shops, making it easy for consumers to shop handmade during the holidays. This year, two of my Portland favorites, Satsuma Press + Stone & Honey have organized Kindred, "A small but mightly pop-up shop" in San Francisco this coming weekend! Please check it out if you can! The list of vendors is simply spot on!
