I love buying pretty sweets from my favorite bakery and adding my own touch to them! Pansies are a beautiful, edible flower that make great decorations on baked goods. You can see more of this story I created, over at Project Wedding.
P.S. Another fun idea: A Strawberry Wildflower Cake!

So pretty! I love decorating cakes (and salads) with pansies. Occasionally I find tiny tiny ones at the farmer’s market and they are so fun to play with.
I love this idea, a little bit of powdered sugar and some pretty flowers! Yummy!
pretty.
Brilliant touch with the cake. The flowers were perfect! Is that safe to add on cakes? I didn’t know that. 🙂
Hi Kellie! Yes, as long as they are organic, pansies are perfectly safe to eat! I used to put them on sandwiches and salads all the time!
so gorgeous!! amazing how much life colour and uniqueness the pansies add.
That is so lovely and looks delicious.

Where is your favorite bakery?
Hi Liz,
This cake came from a cute bakery in Germany, where I was when I shot the story. My favorite bakeries in Portland are: Nuvrei and Ken’s Artisan Bakery. I often like the cakes from Zupan’s too.
Thanks for the comment!
Oh my, these look crazy delicious!! They would be perfect for a cozy Sunday breakfast.
Wonderful and Marvelous
These would be gorgeous served at a bridal shower!
Edible flowers add such a beautiful touch! So colorful and pretty!
This cake is gorgeous! I love it so much!
