Here are a couple more snapshots of Philadelphia. I found this city to be extremely charming with overflowing windowboxes, green parks, cobblestone alleyways, and lovely gourmet markets on each corner. Most of these were taken around Rittenhouse Square. I loved the storefronts and great signage everywhere too. You can see more on my Flickr. Hope to be back soon, Philly!

You are making me homesick. I’ll be there in 2 1/2 weeks. Can’t wait. Here is a tip. If you go back, my favorite place to eat is the lower level of the famed Le Bec Fin, called Le Bar Lyonnais. Tremendous food and service for only a portion of the price upstairs.
i’ve only been to philly once but i loved it. i think it’s quite charming. glad you enjoyed it!
love the bold colors!
love, gosh must go visit!
Love that crazy blue door. Fun pics!
I have never really wanted to go there but I do now…overflowing window boxes must be an east coast thing, I grew up in California but now live in New England and its one of the things I love most here! I even planted some of my own, and it wasnt long before they were overflowing, lol!
Ihave never been. It’s so close I should place on my list of must travel

I have so much love for Philly, after spending a summer dancing at UArts when I was 16 — nearly moved there this year! What gorgeous photos, it’s a little city that doesn’t get nearly enough recognition!
this is where i grew up– and these pictures made me so happy! thanks for sharing!!
I miss my city! It had so much character at every corner!
I second what Spiral Style said. Le Bar Lyonnais is a really great place!!!
I love and miss so much about Philadelphia and just mentioned to my husband that I think about it every day. The parks, the food- OH THE FOOD, the people… I need to stop before I start writing an ode to Philadelphia right here on your comment feed.
