Ahhh The Battery in Whitstable! I worked on a photoshoot in that kitchen and in fact stayed overnight as the owner put up the crew. It has such fabulous history as it was built by the Navy in 1874 to train sailors to use fire-arms! AND THEN used as a holiday retreat for disadvantaged children in the forties. It’s such an eclectic mix and faces out onto a private beach –not the ocean, but rather the Thames estuary (where London’s river meets the North Sea). Not tropical but adorably charming for sure! And when you say cottage you really mean fortress the place is massive!
Love it, it’s making me all excited for summer on the beach.
I love the ocean out the window.
Love the blue. It’s so calming.
I can feel the ocean breeze looking at this photo!! Love how they painted the dishwasher and it’s knobs, wonder how the paint holds up on it?
Love it.
I love beach cottages. Gives me hope for warm summer days ahead!
how pretty and homey! and i love that window.
I love anything ocean-related. This is so my style.

Hello dream kitchen!
I could stay in here, cooking all day. Lovely kitchen!
There’s nothing I hate more than washing dishes, but with a view like that. I would wash every night.
