After moving all weekend, I've been furiously researching interiors. The first issue of Lonny has an article about former Domino editor, Deborah Needleman's home which was decorated by Rita Konig. I was thrilled to find out that Deborah is a former garden writer and a passionate gardener. I simply adore her home and the gathered, wild bouquets placed in each room. The article left me hungry for a plot of land!
P.S. If anyone knows where I can find the ribbon be-decked bamboo shades in the bottom left photo, I'd be forever grateful!
those wildflowers are so pretty and natural! i love it. i did my own little (much more modest) baby’s breathe display the other day…

Can’t wait to see your new place!
Congrats on moving into the new space! I know exactly what you mean about looking for inspiration – I’ve been doing the exact same thing since we moved into our new place last month. The contrast of the bamboo blinds and dark walls is gorgeous. I’d love to know if you find a source for the blinds!
i love the image with the desk. its just the kind of space that im craving right now. congrats on the move
hope you love your new space! Rita Konig actually wrote a piece on bamboo shades for the Moment blog for the NYTimes. I remember because it was right when I moved and I found it very useful! Here’s the link:http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/07/20/inside-out-made-in-the-shade/
I love the photos! Can’t wait for gardening season to start.
I’m loving her french dish towel-ey under sink drapes! and her lanterns, they remind me so much of the patio at lovely hula hands …
Thanks, Honora! I am a huge fan of that blog. So many thoughtful ideas on it!!
Thanks, everyone!
Oh how I wish it were Spring!
this home is too lovely for words. 🙂
hope your move went well and you’re settling into your new space! wild bouquets like these are just about the most lovely thing.
That article still stands out to me when I think about that first issue of Lonny. I saved several photos from it for my inspiration files. Enjoy decorating your new home – and don’t forget to take a few moments and breath!
I love how the one room is painted black(or just a really dark color). How innovative and chic. I’m tempted to try it out.
beautiful! those shades look like a DIY waiting to happen!
rita always gives her spaces a lovely comfy touch.
