I generally despise floor lamps. I’ve had my eye on the above style for a bit but all the others I’ve seen are too bulky for my tiny place. This one from Urban Outfitters fits the bill.

I know what you mean…I’m not fond of them either but I agree with you on this. It actually reminds me of a giant desk lamp!
