I know so many people who hate the Bearded Iris. Personally, I think it is a beautiful old-fashioned flower and depending on the setting, I prefer it to the modern Iris. What do you think? It was exciting to see a gorgeous spread in the new MS Living on Oregon’s very own Schreiner’s Iris Gardens. Check it out on the May 08 issue, page 176. {photo from here}
It’s hard for me to hate any flower…one of my favorite times of the summer is when all of the irises come into bloom…en masse, they are beautiful!
I love any sort of iris…the bearded is elegant and beautiful as well.
How could anybody hate a flower (unless raging sneezing follow their arrival)? I think these bearded irises would make a beautiful bouquet!
Flowers are one of those things that I can’t understand hating. I understand having a preference, but they’re flowers – they’re lovely! Also, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen this color of iris, and it’s gorgeous!
I was always amazed as a florist how strongly people felt about certain flowers. Yes, a lot of people actually used the word hate!
ditto, how can you hate a flower? that’s so funny! 🙂 i think this is really pretty. xo
